EASO is pleased to support and endorse the upcoming World Congress on Interventional Therapies for Type 2 Diabetes.
The congress will convene clinicians, scientists, and policy makers to discuss the latest research findings on metabolic/bariatric surgery and novel interventional therapies for type 2 diabetes. The Organizing Committee is led by Francesco Rubino (Congress Director), together with Philip Schauer, David Cummings, Lee Kaplan, and William Cefalu (Program Co-Chairs). The first three editions included participation of world leading experts, amongst which Nobel Laureates, and attendees from over 60 countries.
#WCITD19 will address barriers to implementation of evidence-based therapies of diabetes and obesity with a specific focus on the role of weight stigma and its negative impact on access to care and research funding.
