Salzburg Global Seminar: Childhood Obesity

EASO is pleased to be represented by Mario Silva (Portugal) and Louise Tully (Ireland) in the Salzburg Global Seminar programme Halting the Childhood Obesity Epidemic: Identifying Decisive Interventions in Complex Systems.

The programme is part of Salzburg Global’s Health and Health Care Innovation multi-year series and is being held in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF).

Initial questions the group is pondering include: what are the most crucial conditions affecting children’s obesity risk? How have these conditions changed in recent generations as the epidemic of childhood obesity has gathered pace? What is the importance of systems thinking in addressing these issues?

The initial summary news from the programme is attached. Follow the conversation on Twitter #SGShealth and learn more @ www.SalzburgGlobal.org/go/642.
