EASO is delighted to endorse and support the 2022 Nordic Obesity Meeting, hosted by the Danish Association for the Study on Obesity (DSAF). The conference brings together medical doctors, dieticians and other health care professionals alongside obesity researchers across focus areas. The meeting takes place in Copenhagen 17-19 November.
An Education Day ‘Perspectives on Obesity Management’ precedes the meeting with topics across diet, exercise, technological behavioural interventions, pharmacology, obesity surgery, weight neutral approaches to obesity, obesity stigma and prevention strategies.
The Nordic Obesity Meeting ‘Novel Insights on Obesity Biology, Prevention and Management Strategies’ includes presentations on obesity and metabolism, genetic and non-genetic determinants of body weight regulation, including early life risk factors, postpartum weight retention and sleep; and cutting-edge research in human brown adipose tissue, very low calorie diets, constitutional thinness and weight gain resistance. The meeting will provide an opportunity for early career investigators to present their research findings. Abstract submission closes 1 September and early registration rates are available through 14 September 2022.
