EASO COMs Summit 2024
27-28th November, Santiago de Compostela, Spain
The 2024 EASO COMs Summit will take place 27-28th November 2024, in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Participation in the COMs Summit is open to multidisciplinary team members working within accredited adult, paediatric, and affiliated EASO COMs across Europe and globally. This important event offers clinical colleagues the opportunity to engage with the latest research in obesity management and develop practical skills to enhance high quality, evidence based patient care.
COMs Summit delegates will learn from experts and key opinion leaders across the field of obesity — and related conditions — and programme participants will include nutritionists, surgeons, and physiotherapists and clinical colleagues working in general practice.
The Summit will follow a diverse scientific programme inclusive of specialist presentations from clinicians and researchers, clinical case discussions, and networking opportunities.
Delegates of the EASO COMs Summit 2024 will learn about:
- The latest advancements in obesity management with global and interdisciplinary perspectives
- Analysis and discussion of adult and paediatric clinical case studies in obesity management
- The importance of patient-clinician collaboration in obesity management and patient perspectives on receiving care
- Obesity as a complex disease and the importance of disease recognition in obesity management
- Targeted strategies for managing specific obesity-related conditions
- Pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for obesity
Up to two places are allocated for staff from each COM at the Summit. This year, the Sociedad Española para el Estudio de la Obesidad (SEEDO) 2024 meeting will be held straight after the Summit. Interested colleagues are encouraged to participate in both events.

EASO COMs Network colleagues are invited to propose topics of interest to be included in the Summit programme and/or clinical case studies for discussion. Please submit suggestions via email to conferences@easo.org by 6th July 2024.
